Report Cards
Generate, publish, and reissue student report cards — per student or in bulk for a whole class — showing period grades, term grades, overall average, rank, and mention.
A report card is a snapshot of a student's grades at a point in time. It captures the period grades, term grades, subject year grade, overall average, class rank, mention, and pass/fail status — and, when the level has an external exam, a separate exam average line.

Grades are live in the gradebook, frozen on the card
The gradebook always shows live, recalculated grades. A report card takes a snapshot of those grades at the moment it is generated — they do not change afterwards, even if assessment marks are edited later. See Staleness and reissue.
What a report card shows

Generate a report card
Single student
Open the student's profile or the class gradebook
Navigate to the student directly, or open the class gradebook and select the student's row.
Choose the period
Select whether to generate the card for a term (mid-year progress) or the full year.
Generate
Click Generate report card. The system computes and snapshots all grade values. The card is ready to download as a PDF.
Whole class — bulk generation
Go to the class gradebook and use Generate all report cards. The system creates one card per student and packages them into a ZIP file you can download in one click. Generation runs in the background — you will be notified when the file is ready.
Tip — generate after grading is complete
Generate report cards once all assessment marks have been entered and any overrides or remarks are in place. Cards are a snapshot; anything entered after generation will not appear unless you reissue.
Publish to families
Generating a card makes it available to you (admin and teacher view). Students and parents cannot see it until you publish it.

You can publish a single card or publish the whole class at once. Published cards can be unpublished if you need to correct and reissue them first.
Staleness and reissue
If assessment marks change after a card was generated, the card is flagged as stale — the live gradebook no longer matches the snapshot. A stale badge appears on the card so you know it is out of date.
To update it, reissue the card: the system generates a fresh snapshot from the current gradebook values and replaces the old one. You can reissue a single card or the whole class.
Published cards
Reissuing a published card automatically unpublishes it. Republish it once you are happy with the new version so families see the corrected grades.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a term card and a year card?
A term card snapshots grades for a single term: the period grades within that term, the term average, and the student's rank at that point. A year card covers the full year: all terms and any external exam, the subject year grade, overall average, final rank, and mention.
Can I generate report cards before all marks are entered?
Yes, but any assessment not yet marked will show as Pending on the card, and averages will reflect only what has been entered. It is best to generate after all marking is complete. You can reissue the card once the remaining marks are in.
What happens if I edit a grade after generating a card?
The card is flagged as stale. The live gradebook reflects the new mark immediately; the card stays on the old snapshot until you reissue it.
Are report cards visible to students and parents automatically?
No. Generating a card makes it visible to administrators and teachers only. You must explicitly publish it for students and parents to see it.
Does the report card include the external exam average?
Yes, when the level has an external exam configured in its grading scheme. The exam average appears as a separate line, computed from the exam's own coefficients over its covered subjects. It is independent of the overall average (moyenne générale).
Can I download report cards for the whole class at once?
Yes. Use Generate all report cards from the class gradebook. The cards are packaged into a ZIP file that you can download once generation is complete.
