Switch between available roles
Move between the roles your account holds without signing out.
Some people have more than one role — for example a teacher who is also a guardian. One account holds them all, and you switch between them whenever you need to.
Who this is for
Users whose account has more than one role assigned.
Before you start
- An account with two or more roles. With a single role there is nothing to switch — the option does not appear.
Steps
Open the profile menu
In the sidebar, open your profile menu at the bottom.
Choose a role under Switch Role
The menu lists every role on your account under Switch Role. The role you are currently using is marked with a check.
Confirm the workspace changed
Selecting a role reloads the workspace for that role — the sidebar, pages, and available actions all change to match it.
Each role is a separate workspace
Switching does not sign you out. It changes what you see: an admin workspace, a teacher workspace, or a guardian workspace — each with its own menu.
If a role is missing
If a role you expect is not listed, your account does not have it yet. Roles are assigned by an administrator — ask them to add it.
