Set up fees
Give a service a price for a level, with a periodicity that drives the installment schedule.
A fee is a priced rule. It says: this service, at this level, costs this amount, charged at this periodicity. Fees are what payment plans are built from.
Who this is for
Administrators pricing the school's services.
Before you start
- The service must already exist — see Create services.
- The levels must exist — a fee is priced per level.
Steps
Open the Fees page
Go to Finance → Fees, then start a new fee.
Fill in the fee details
Complete the fields below, then save.
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | The display name, e.g. Grade 1 Tuition. |
| Service | Yes | The service this fee prices. |
| Level | Yes | The level the fee applies to. |
| Periodicity | Yes | How often it is charged — for example monthly or one-time. This shapes the installment schedule. |
| Amount | Yes | The price. Must be greater than zero. |
Repeat per level
Create a fee for each service-and-level combination your school charges.
Periodicity drives installments
The periodicity determines how many installments a student gets for that fee — a monthly fee produces a monthly schedule, a one-time fee a single installment.
